Our Correction Process

When we receive a correction request or identify an error internally:

Types of Updates

Corrections

Factual errors that materially affect the accuracy of the article. These are always disclosed with a correction notice.

Updates

New information added to a developing story. Updates are noted with timestamps but don't require correction notices.

Clarifications

Additional context or explanation added to prevent misunderstanding. Noted with a clarification label.

Minor Edits

Typos, formatting, or style changes that don't affect meaning. These are not logged on this page.
