New Elekta CEO Jakob Just-Bomholt Overhauls Leadership Team

Elekta, a radiation therapy company, is undergoing a significant leadership reorganization under its new CEO, Jakob Just-Bomholt. This executive reshuffling involves the departure of three directors and the appointment of Klara Eiritz as the new Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Tobias Hägglöv. Just-Bomholt stated that these changes are "crucial for strengthening Elekta's leadership capabilities" and are intended to align the company's structure with its "strategic ambitions." This reorganization follows a broader leadership change earlier in the year. In March, former CEO Gustaf Salford resigned, with the board citing Elekta's performance results as not meeting expectations. Just-Bomholt was appointed as his successor in early summer. The incoming CFO, Klara Eiritz, brings extensive experience from several prominent companies, including previous roles at Volvo Construction Equipment, Sandvik, and Ericsson. The concurrent announcement of Eiritz's recruitment and the departure of three executives signals a decisive new direction for Elekta under its new leadership.
